There are seven icons in the Navigate section of the Map tab which aid hands-on navigational needs. These icons and their functions are described below.

1.  -- Full Extent: Zooms the Map to the initial, full extent of the application.
2.  -- Zoom In: Zooms the Map in one level.
3.  -- Zoom Out: Zooms the Map out one level.
4.  -- Previous Extent: Zooms the Map to the previous map extent.
5.  -- Next Extent: Zooms the Map to the next map extent.
6.  -- Zoom to Query Results: Zooms the Map to the extent of a user query.
7.  -- Clear Map: Clears the results displayed on the map.

Each icon listed is designed to work directly with the map, giving users a spacial experience with the HPMS application. Users can hover their mouse over the unknown icon in the tab ribbon to display its given name.
