The map display can be changed using specific mouse interactions with the map and a range of controls on the Map Tab.
Mouse Interactions
The mouse, whether attached to a laptop or an independent object, can be used to navigate the Map Frame. The user can use the mouse in these ways:
| Mouse Action | Used To... |
| Pan | Click, hold, and drag the map to re-center. |
| Trackwheel Zoom | Zoom in by rolling the mouse wheel forward and zoom out by rolling the mouse wheel backward. |
| Touchpad Zoom | Zoom in by spreading fingers on the touchpad and zoom out by closing fingers. |
| Zoom in by clicking this button beside the Legend. | |
| Zoom out by clicking this button beside the Legend. |
Map Tab
The Map Tab controls are grouped into four sections on the Map ribbon: Navigate, Identify, Find Segments, and Basemap. Each section is identifiable by its title on the menu bar. The image below shows the sections in red boxes.
