The Sample Sections & TOPS, Import, Cross, and Coverage validation checks have the Validation Edit Menu capability on each row of their reports. In order to access this tool, the user must enter one of those HPMS Validations interfaces, fill the given fields, click the "Open Report Window" output option, and select the pencil icon () to the far right of the screen.

Function

The Validation Edit Menu provides the user with the ability to correct validation errors. This interface will be populated with HPMS Data Items along the route corresponding to the selected record in the validation report.

This menu is composed of four sections:

Correct Errors

The user can correct validation errors in the Validation Edit Menu table by following these steps:

1. Find a row where a caution icon () appears in the Validation Error column or use the “Next” and “Previous” links above the table to navigate to the next or previous validation error.
2. Hover the cursor over the caution icon () to view a description of the validation error.
3. Edit data items by clicking into the desired cell and filling the resulting picklist or textbox. After these edits are made, the system will check again for validation errors, removing or adding an error icon as needed.
4. Click the “Save Changes” button after successfully fixing the validation errors. To commit changes to the source data, check the “Save data to source” checkbox before saving changes.
