There are three pop-up windows that can be accessed in the Data Tables interface (): Create New, Set Official, and View Populate Report.
Create New
The Create New pop-up window allows the user to generate a new data table to be stored in the interface. This pop-up has some fields that help set up the new data table:
Field | Description |
Name Textbox | Enter a name for the data table. |
Description Textbox | Enter a description for the data table. |
Year Textbox | Specify the year of the data table. |
Type Dropdown | Specify the data table type as Inventory Manager. |
Temporal Data Radio Buttons | Specify that the data table will contain the latest data or data filtered from a certain date. |
Setup Table Radio Buttons | Specify that the data table will be created completely new or that its data will be copied from another table. |
Create Button | Generate the new data table. |
Set Official
The Set Official pop-up window allows the user to select a data table to set as official. This pop-up has three controls:
Control | Used To... |
Official Data Table Dropdown | Choose an already created data table to set as official. |
Save Changes Button | Save the selection and make the data table official. |
Discard Changes Button | Discard the selection. |
View Populate Report
The View Populate Report link leads to a Populate Report pop-up window which shows all warnings and errors found while populating the data table. There are many links in this pop-up which detail these warnings and errors.
Warnings & Errors
Warnings are marked with an asterisk (*) on this interface; they are corrected on import (if possible) and brought into the Data Table. Errors are rejected records that are not brought into the Data Table.
Links
The totals count and table have links to documents containing warning/error record information. The totals count has two document types: Summary and Details. As indicated by their names, summary offers a condensed overview of the issues found, and details offers a more thorough view of all discovered issues. Below this totals count is a table that breaks down where each issue springs from. This table has "Data Item" and "Report" columns. The "Data Item" column groups the warning/error records by data item; the "Report" column breaks down the data item based on specific issues (ex. Segment overlaps a more dominant route). Both columns have links to documents that go into more detail on their warnings/errors. For both areas-- totals and the table-- there are two types of links offered: PDF and Excel.
