This is a tool that is located on the Data Editing section of the Edit tab.

Function

The Select from Map icon () is used to click interactively on the map to select a route or segment for editing purposes.

Select from Map

When the Select from Map tool is chosen, the user can click anywhere on the map to open a list of routes near the selected location. This list will display general information about the routes, such as the Route Name and Measure value. It also provides the ability to open the Basic Editor tool through the "Basic Editor" link below each listed route.
