This is a button located on the Route Modification interface.
Function
The Save Session button is used to save the current session definition to the database. When this button is selected, a pop-up will appear to allow the user to save the session.
Save Session Pop-Up
Layout
The Save Session pop-up is composed of two fields: Name and Description. These fields allow the user to provide a name and description for the session, both of which are required before a session may be saved. If the user is editing an existing session, the name and description fields will display the current session name and description. If the user is creating a new session, the name and description fields will default to the text entered for the Comments of the first transaction in the session. The image below shows a blank Save Session pop-up.
Access
The Session Pop-Up can be accessed through the Save Session button, Preview button, and New Session link. This pop-up will only appear for the Preview and New Session controls if the current session has not been saved; it acts as a saving mechanism before running a new action.
Save Validation Rules
The following validations are required before a session can be saved:
- A session name is required.
- A session description is required.
- A session must have at least one transaction defined.
- Each transaction must have a County, Route Type, Route Number, and Route Auxiliary defined.
