This link is located on the Route Modification interface.
Function
The Open Session link allows the user to open a route mod session that was previously created. The Open Session interface allows the user to select from sessions that are in one of three states: In Progress, In Preview, and Applied.
States
As mentioned above, there are three session states in the Open Session pop-up. Each state has its own tab in the interface.
- In Progress – A session which is in the process of being defined.
- In Preview – A session which is fully defined that had its transactions applied to a temporary version of the routes and is now being previewed and modified.
- Applied – A session which had its route modifications applied back to RIMS.
Sessions Display
By default, only the sessions created by the current user are displayed in this interface. However, the user can click the "Show all sessions" checkbox to see the sessions created by all users. In either case, the sessions will be sorted in descending order by Creation Date by default. If the user wishes to change the sort order and type, they can click on any of the column headers (Session Name, Creator, and Creation Date) until the appropriate arrow appears.
Controls
There are some button controls offered on this interface. The button controls can only be used after selecting a session.
Control | Location | Used To... |
Open Button | All tabs | Open the session in the Route Mod Session interface for further editing/use. |
Delete Button | All tabs | Delete the route mod session from the database; if this button is selected on the "In Preview" tab, it will also undo the checkout of all routes in the session. |
Release Button | In Preview tab | Release the session from the preview mode and put the session back into in-progress mode. This places the session back in the "In Progress" tab and undoes the checkout of all routes in the session. |
View Reports Button | Applied tab | Display the modification report interface where the user can view any of the reports that were generated during the route modification session. |
Modification Report Interface
The Modification Report interface will allow the user to view any reports that were generated due to changes made during the route modification process. This interface will present a list of the available reports for the current session. All reports will be generated as PDF documents. If no reports were generated for the session, the interface will not be displayed. The possible reports that can be displayed are:
- TDMA Location Changes Report -- Displays any coverage count traffic stations where the mileage has changed due to the route mod operations.
- HPMS Changes Report -- Displays any HPMS samples where the mileage has changed due to the route mod operations.
- Bridge Location Changes Report -- Displays any bridge where the mileage has changed due to the route mod operations.
-
Route System Exception Reports
- Federal Lands Exception Report -- Displays any route system records marked as federal lands where the mileage has changed due to the route mod operations.
- NHS Exception Report -- Displays any route system records marked as NHS where the mileage has changed due to the route mod operations.
- Special Systems Exception Report -- Displays any route system records marked as special systems where the mileage has changed due to the route mod operations.

Once the "View Reports" button is selected in the Applied tab, the available reports will be displayed along with their number of occurrences. The occurrences number will be a link to the report. When the link is clicked, the associated PDF report will be displayed.
