The EGIS Viewer displays 4 functional areas upon entry: (1) Quick Search, (2) Map Frame, (3) Main Menu, and (4) Map and Interactive Controls. Each of these are shown in the image below, with corresponding numbers to the list above.

(1) Quick Search

The Quick Search box is used to select from filter categories to search for business data on SCDOT’s route network. All related data will be mapped once the "Search" button is selected.

(2) Map Frame

The Map Frame displays SCDOT’s route network and query results in a visual form. A variety of controls for the Map Frame permit the user to zoom to an area of interest if desired.

(3) Main Menu

The Main Menu provides six capabilities: reopen quick search, filter query criteria by business area, open other viewing applications, access reporting functions, edit system administration (for privileged users), and manage queries.

(4) Map and Interactive Controls

The Map and Interactive Controls contain a variety of methods to interact with the EGIS Viewer Map Frame.
