This internal tab is located on the Railroad Crossings interface, found on the Data section of the Rail tab.
Function
The Letter Tracker internal tab is used to view and edit information for all deficiencies reported for a specific Crossing number. This is the fourth tab on the Railroad Crossings interface. Information will only be available here after the user selects filter options and clicks the "Find" Button.
Layout
The Letter Tracker internal tab consists of a table and filters to narrow the table results. Both of these elements reside under the static filters and location information.
Table Filters
The table filters narrow the table results based on user selections in the given categories. The "Type" category will be set to "Latest Deficiencies" by default; however, the user can manually change this picklist to read "All Deficiencies" if desired. The other filter categories will be initially blank. These four fields correlate to column names-- Inspection, Deficiency Date, Owner, and Work Status. After the user inputs the desired filters in the picklists and/or textbox, they must select the "Filter" button to fill the table. Otherwise, the table will reflect the last filter selections.
Table
The table has ten column types: Inspection, Deficiency Date, Owner, Deficiency, Date Letter Sent, Date Work Due, Date Blue Returned, Date of Re-Inspection, Date of 2nd Letter Sent, and Work Status. As with any table, only the relevant column rows will be filled with information.
Edit Deficiencies
Unlike the deficiency work done in the Inventory and Inspection internal tabs, deficiencies cannot be added in the Letter Tracker internal tab. However, the inputted deficiencies from the other internal tabs can be edited in this tab. To edit a deficiency, the user can simply click into the desired column row, edit the resulting picklist or textbox, and click the "Save Changes" button. All column rows, except "Inspection," can be edited.
